Teaching & Workshops

I have been running a number of workshops at Northlight Education and The She-Ed and they have been very successful. Due to high demand, I will be running these again late 2018 and early 2019.

There was a waiting list for the last course so please book early to avoid disappointment. The maximum number of students is ten!

Electronic Textiles/Soft Circuits – Introduction (Phase 1) For details and booking information please contact me here

The next workshop is the weekend of 15th and 16th December 2018, which will be held at my workshop space The She-Ed. For those who have attended previous workshops, and those who are based elsewhere in the country and require local accommodation, the She-Ed is a larger space so the next course will not be held at Northlight Education but will still be in Hebden Bridge.

Dates to be confirmed for the following workshops to be held early 2019.

Interactive Sound/Noise Canvas – Students will build an interactive canvas using conductive inks over this three-day course.

Electronic Textiles/Soft Circuits Phase 2 – Students must have undertaken the beginner course or acquired some previous knowledge in embedding electronics into fashion or textiles. This weekend course will cover more complex techniques and students will be encouraged to design a finished interactive fashion garment or accessory.

Machine Embroidery using Conductive Threads – Students must have undertaken the beginner course or acquired some previous knowledge in embedding electronics into fashion or textiles. This weekend course will focus on developing skills from hand stitching to machine stitching with conductive threads to produce a series of electronic/soft circuits.
